After quitting his job and losing his home due to certain circumstances, Eiji spends his days idling away. Just as he realizes he needs to find work, a mysterious, handsome man in a kimono appears in his new apartment!
Is he a burglar or just in the wrong room? As Eiji panics, the man claims to be a ""Zashiki-warashi"" (house spirit) and vanishes before his eyes. Eiji seeks counseling, convinced it's a stress-induced hallucination, but the man is waiting for him when he gets home!
What’s more, the spirit declares, ""I will support your career with all my might!?"" The strange communal life between a handsome, middle-aged spirit and a troubled, unemployed man begins.
